IMU CET 2015 February Application forms

The forms are now available on website for 2015 August Batch. Now IMU has made a system of filling the forms online and also doing payment for the same. This has surely removed the hassle of filling of forms physically and then posting them to the university office. Paper work has also reduced a lot.

How to fill the application form

Application forms will be filled online, by clicking on the link given on the imu site. The link will come once university has announced the notification of the exam. This will lead you to a window where you have to create an id and thus will move you to the further process of application. Photographs and signature will be uploaded there only. So better keep a scanned copy of your signature and photograph.

IMU CET 2015 Exam Paper

As Indian maritime university has shifted to online examination, candidates have to give exam on computer with multiple choice questions. Paper consists of 200 marks. Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Math, General Knowledge, Aptitude etc. As far as difficulty of paper is concerned, last time paper was of average difficulty.

IMU CET 2015 Exam Date

Exam is scheduled to be conducted 9th May 2015 between 2pm – 5pm. The date for this will be declared shortly, when notice for the exam comes in the month of November or December this year.

Schedule of IMU CET August and February Batch

Batches are supposed to start in the month of August and February. For which exams are conducted in the month of April and December or January.

But for February batch or exam admissions will be offered for few courses, mostly 1 year courses like DNS and GME, also called as Diploma in nautical sciences and Graduate Mechanical Engineer respectively.

Admit Card for IMU CET 2015 Exam

Admit card will be made available to candidates online only. After successful filing of forms and fees, university after few week, will make admit cards only to be able to be downloaded. You can download the admit cards from this date:27th April 2015

How to prepare for IMU CET February Exam 2015

Well, this is not very tough exam. But that makes everybody to score high. Also, difficulty level changes every year, so you cannot take it for granted. Tips are here:

1)     Refer your NCERT books first and side by side, refer some good reference books. As per the last year paper, we have found that, the questions were quite easy. But easy is for everyone, which lifts up the cutoff. But the numbers of students who are appearing in the February batch are less. So, there are chances that might less competition from other counter parts.

2)     Take and solve previous year paper.

3)     Practice as mock tests you can practice.

4)     Ask seniors about previous time experience.

5)     Post questions in here, you will get a lot of help.
